Big Goodbye

100 days later with more than 100 posts and over a thousand views, I come to the end of my summer project which is this blog. I’m not sad at all because I’m working on my next project already which obviously still has to do with marketing.

Little Extra: What physics taught me about marketing

I love TED talks.

Perhaps I love this talk because I learnt about marketing through art history, but marketing principles apply through the common sense of other practices.

Little Publicity: Anti-Branding?

My friend Sami sent me this article and its absolutely hilarious. Is there such a thing as anti-branding?

According to the article Snooki from Jersey Shore is being sent bags/purses, but instead of the companies themselves sending the bags to her, competitors are sending them. Its as if sending Snooki your bag will lead to a decrease in sales (rather dramatic), but it is true that most companies will want to opt out of a girl that sucks on pickles ,as one of her greatest pleasures in life, as their spokesperson.

Advertalicious: Mattel

Has advertising got worse? This is a Mattel commercial from the 1960’s.

and this is one from 2007.

Perhaps I just love vintage. What do you think? Which is better?
